I really couldn’t care any less about this movie as The Weinstein Co. will bring Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters to theaters on Valentine’s Day 2014. I first received the poster back in late July and ignored it, but now a trio of pictures and the first trailer have arrived and since it will likely find its way into the box office top ten next February I figured I may as well add it to the database and post something. How’s that for enthusiasm?
Directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls) and starring Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Danila Kozlovsky, Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland, Joely Richardson, Cameron Monaghan, Sami Gayle, Claire Foy and Ashley Charles, Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters tells the story of Rose Hathaway (Deutch), a Dhampir: half human/vampire, guardians of the Moroi, peaceful, mortal vampires living discretely within our world. Her legacy is to protect the Moroi from bloodthirsty, immortal Vampires, the Strigoi.
The film is based on the YA book by Richelle Mead with a script by Daniel Waters (Heathers). Any chance you think this one will be good?
