New ‘Ender’s Game’ Tease Before New Trailer

I can’t tell you how much I would love it if they were to bring in Boy George and record a new version of “The Crying Game” for the upcoming sci-fi film Ender’s Game (11/1). They could get Ben Kingsley to lip-sync the music video, “I know all there is to know about Ender’s game. I’ve had my share of Ender’s game. First there are Formics. Then there are is Graff. And then before — you know where you are — you meet Ender Wig-ginnnnnnnnn.” George could do it and it would be a great way to get beyond all the homophobia issues surrounding the film and author Orson Scott Card.

Then again, I torment people around me singing those lyrics substituting “Hunger Games” in for “Crying Game” so maybe it just has to do with my obsession with that song.

Anyway, there is a new teaser trailer promoting the upcoming new trailer for Ender’s Game, which is due tomorrow morning at 9 AM PST. Apparently tomorrow’s trailer was the one shown at Comic Con last month, once again proving paying money to stand in line to watch a trailer is, well… a waste of money.

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Based on the best-selling, award winning novel, Ender’s Game is an epic adventure which stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford.
