After the Prisoners has come online offering a new look at director Denis Villeneuve‘s (Incendies) thriller starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal.
The story revolves around a small-town carpenter (Jackman) whose young daughter and her best friend have been kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, he takes the law into his own hands, but in the process runs up against Detective Loki (Gyllenhaal), a hot shot cop with confidence to burn, assigned to the case. Maria Bello, Terrence Howard, Viola Davis, Melissa Leo and Paul Dano co-star.
With a September 20 release, I’m expecting this to play the opening week of the Toronto Film Festival or at least Telluride or Venice.
