What we have here is the trailer for David Gordon Green‘s Prince Avalanche starring Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch as a pair of traffic line-painting city workers who apparently spend a summer in the country repainting lines and getting in touch with their inner-selves.
I found the trailer on The Playlist and they point to their review from Sundance saying it’s “far from a retreat to the safe comfort of [David Gordon Green’s] generally more beloved indie films [but] an exciting step forward, a progressive blend of his career thus far.” As someone that has never seen Green’s indies I guess I should get busy and finally watch George Washington and Undertow considering his work on Pineapple Express and Your Highness isn’t exactly my cup o’ tea.
Check out the Prince Avalanche trailer below and look for Magnolia to release it On Demand on August 9.
