Universal has premiered the first Rush trailer, the new Formula-1 racing movie directed by Ron Howard and starring Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) and Daniel Bruhl (Inglourious Basterds).
The story follows the on the track and off lives of Formula-1 race stars James Hunt (Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Bruhl) and their racing teams of McLaren and Ferrari. Olivia Wilde and Alexandra Maria Lara co-star. The script was written by Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon) and I named it one of my early Oscar contenders.
Rush is currently slated for a September 20 release, which gives it a possibility for a Venice, Telluride or Toronto premiere, the two former being more likely (particularly Venice).
