Paramount Pictures has released a brand new World War Z trailer and zombie-filled poster, promoting the upcoming zombie apocalypse thriller starring Brad Pitt, based on the book by Max Brooks.
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Mireille Enos (“The Killing”) plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane and Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale and Matthew Fox also co-star.
Talk around the film can’t avoid discussion of the several setbacks including massive third act reshoots and rewrites including a complete rewrite of the third act from Damon Lindelof (Prometheus), making it one of the more curious releases of the year.
Come June 21 we’ll see how things turned out, but expectations certainly aren’t high when films suffer these kind of production troubles and delays. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, click here for a recap.
