The trailer for Hummingbird starring Jason Statham premiered yesterday and it has everyone excited. It was written and directed by Eastern Promises screenwriter Steven Knight who’s already at work on his next film, Locke starring Tom Hardy.
As for Hummingbird, Lionsgate will release it stateside some time this year. The story follows Joey Jones (Stataham), an ex-special forces soldier who’s homeless and on the run from a military court-martial. He’s trapped in London’s criminal underworld, but when opportunity enables him to assume another man’s identity, he is transformed into an avenging angel.
The film hits UK theaters on May 17, which is why I also have the poster for you to check out below.
