To this point we’ve had a Super Bowl trailer and an Fast & Furious 6 and now Universal delivers the first official theatrical trailer for the upcoming sixth installment in the car franchise that just won’t quit.
Fast & Furious 6 brings back Vin Diesel and Paul Walker as Dom and Brian, who, along with the rest of their group, have scattered across the world following the Rio heist, but something is afoot.
Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Luke Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
Want to know something else? Rumor has it Jason Statham will have a cameo in the film as the brother to Luke Evans’ character setting up the seventh film.
Potential Fast & Furious 7 SPOILER: Word is, Statham shows up in a scene taking place in the middle of Tokyo Drift, smashes up a car and then calls Vin Diesel’s character with a threat.
