Simon Killer played the Sundance Film Festival last year and got some positive buzz, but the pick up by IFC pretty much tells you it probably has a limited audience appeal. Fortunately for me, the films IFC tends to pick up of this sort appeal to me so this one has my attention.
Directed by Antonio Campos and starring Brady Corbet, Simon Killer centers on a recent college grad who goes to Paris after breaking up with his girlfriend and while the trip was supposed to signal a fresh start on a new life full of promise, he can’t shake his feelings of loss. His predicament escalates from there.
There isn’t a specific release date as of yet, but IFC will be releasing it later this year. Check out the first teaser trailer for the pic directly below.
