This trailer for Harmony Korine‘s Spring Breakers is actually pretty great. I’ve seen the film and wasn’t exactly over the moon for it, but this trailer gets me in the mood to check it out again. What’s that? You think it’s because of that image above? Well, oddly enough, while that’s really the only brief snippet of this kind of activity that you’ll see in this trailer, just know there are a couple of montages where this (and more) fills the screen… the rest of the film is the craziness on display in this newest trailer.
I won’t quote right here, but here’s the teaser snippet, which I think encapsulates the film rather well:
An off the wall rave of a movie that’s probably best experienced while under the influence of some kind of hallucinogen, at least, that’s what the outrageous character James Franco plays would probably suggest and he’s the highlight of this ecstasy trip.
Franco, along with Selena Gomez, Rachel Korine, Vanessa Hudgens and Heather Morris star in this pic about four college girls that take to St. Pete Beach for fun in the sun, scooters, drinking, drugs and a little something they didn’t expect… that something ends up being a trip to jail and bail paid for by one resident rapper/drug dealer, Alien (Franco).
