Walt Disney Pictures is putting on the full court press when it comes to the films they’ll be previewing during this weekend’s Super Bowl. Already we have teasers for the trailers that will be shown that day, including Iron Man 3 along with a brand new poster.
Iron Man 3 was written and directed by Shane Black and pits Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Downey recently spoke with EW about the film and when asked about Ben Kingsley‘s role as the film’s chief villain, the Mandarin, he said, “Sir Ben is probably going to steal the movie. There are a lot of contenders who may, but right now he’s probably at the top of that list. He came in as, obviously – speaking of training – as such a technically proficient instrument. And then what proceeded to happen was the release of more vintage, old-school Favreau [improv] stuff with a Shane Black twist on it. It was kind of frightening to witness, I’ll tell you that much.”
Along with Downey and Kingsley, the film co-stars Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian, Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen, James Badge Dale as Maya Hansen and William Sadler as Sal Kennedy.
Check out the trailer teaser above and the new poster below. Come Super Bowl Sunday I will have all the trailers that air during the big game for you to check out.
