DreamWorks Animation is apparently expected to take something like a $50 million bath on the $145 million budgeted Rise of the Guardians, probably not what Fox wanted to see before their new distribution deal with the animation house which begins with The Croods on March 22 and includes Turbo (July 19) and Mr. Peabody & Sherman (November 1) and today we have a new trailer for the first of those releases.
Co-directed by Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon) and Kirk DeMicco (Space Chimps), The Croods centers on a family of cavemen forced to embark on an epic adventure after their cave is destroyed. With the help of a brash, know-it-all nomad named Guy, the Croods learn to conquer their fears and discover what it takes to survive – each other.
The film features voice work by Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman. Check out the new trailer below.
