1.) Magnolia has picked up Terrence Malick‘s To the Wonder which recently played in Toronto to largely middling reviews. The plan is a multi-platform strategy that starts with a theatrical release in 2013. You can find my review of the film right here. [Deadline]

2.) Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is reportedly interested in playing the lead role of Hunchback in 20th Century Fox’s Frankenstein feature for director Paul McGuigan (Push). The revisionist take on Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” was written by Max Landis (Chronicle) and is described as having a sci-fi spin on the classic story. McGuigan replaced the once-attached Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) who left due to reported budgeting concerns. [The Wrap]
