MGM and Columbia Pictures are preparing to unleash the 23rd James Bond adventure Skyfall across the globe this November and as such marketing is steadily ramping up. Today I come with a new international trailer for the film that gives you a deeper look at Javier Bardem as the blond-tressed baddie Raoul Silva along with a batch of four new pictures and a new poster for the film. Among the pictures you get a look at Noomi Rapace’s current husband (though divorce papers have been filed) Ola Rapace playing Patrice, Berenice Marlohe as new Bond girl Sévérine and Naomie Harris as Eve. Of course, Daniel Craig as Bond gets his share of face time in the pics as well as the new poster.
I’ve been working on my Oscar predictions over the last few days and today was delving into early thoughts in the technical categories and I kept on wondering where Skyfall may fall. Sound nods seem like a possibility, visual effects maybe, cinematography with the wonderful Roger Deakins behind the lens and how about score with Thomas Newman hopefully giving director Sam Mendes some of that wonderful accompanying music we’re so used to him providing?
Either way, I personally can’t wait for November 9 to roll around. I’m a huge Bond fan and hope this film lives up to the people involved.
