So Scott Derrickson‘s Sinister (Summit, 10/12) is supposedly legitimately scary and now a new red band trailer has been unveiled to promote its October release.
The film features Ethan Hawke playing a true crime novelist who discovers a box of mysterious, disturbing home movies that plunge his family into a nightmarish experience of supernatural horror. Vincent D’Onofrio co-stars.
Personally I’m curious to see what Derrickson does with his first R-rated horror after he made a splash on the scene in 2005 with The Exorcism of Emily Rose, a PG-13 rated horror that was pretty good, but early buzz on Sinister sounds like he has certainly outdone himself. Give the red band a watch below.
