Originally set to hit theaters this year, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton in the titular roles was shuffled off to the dead zone of theatrical timing to January 11, 2013 and today the first trailer has arrived.
Taking place 15 years after the incident at the gingerbread house, the film features the fairy tale siblings (Renner and Arterton) as a pair of bounty hunters that save people and walk away slowly as massive explosions take place behind them.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola, the film co-stars Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare, Derek Mears annd Thomas Mann and I can’t say it appears to be a film to be made a high priority.
