I just got done putting together my schedule for the Toronto International Film Festival and it is jam packed with so many films you just wouldn’t believe it. Don’t get me wrong, too many movies is a better problem to have than too few, but it’s never an easy thing to say to yourself, Well, looks like I’m just going to have to miss that one.
Hell, I’m having a hard enough time deciding if I want to wait six days to see Argo just so I can make it easier on myself to see Anna Karenina. At the moment, that’s what’s going to have to happen though I have a few requests out to some very special people so hopefully they’ll come through.
However, all that bitching that you don’t really care about aside, one film I have on the schedule and will be seeing Monday, September 10th at 7:00 PM is Martin McDonagh‘s Seven Psychopaths of which I have just added a red band trailer courtesy of Yahoo and have for you to view directly below.
McDonagh directed the endlessly entertaining 2008 dark comedy In Bruges and is back once again with Colin Farrell, this time with him playing a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay Seven Psychopaths. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration. He gets just that when his best friend and dog thief (Sam Rockwell) steals a dog from a psychopathetic gangster (Woody Harrelson) with his partner in crime (Christopher Walken).
There’s more to the story than that as the cast also includes Olga Kurylenko, Tom Waits and Abbie Cornish, but I don’t even know the rest of it as I have avoided trailers to this point and don’t need to see anything to up my anticipation.
Following the film’s Toronto premiere it will be hitting theaters on October 12. So check out the red band trailer below and see what you think. You in?
