Some new marketing material has arrived for Clint Eastwood‘s latest film Trouble with the Curve co-starring Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake and John Goodman.
To the right is a new TV spot for the flick and below is a new trailer along with a new poster. The film is directed by Eastwood’s Malpaso production partner Robert Lorenz and follows the story of Gus (Eastwood), an aging Atlanta Braves scout with vision problems whose daughter, Mickey (Adams), reluctantly agrees to be his eyes on a crucial recruiting trip. Justin Timberlake plays Johnny, a rival young scout who happens to like and respect Gus.
The film is hitting theaters on September 21 and early buzz is that it is shaping up to be a crowd pleaser, but there is no telling if that will translate to Oscar attention or not. Of course, the awards don’t matter if the film manages to entertain, but it would be sort of fun to see Eastwood in the hunt for an acting nom.
