New Alternate Trailer for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’

Upon the announcement Peter Jackson was going to turn J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” into not two, but three movies, there seemed to be a collective groan from the masses followed by “Why?” Obviously, everyone knows the overall answer is money, but I think it’s an interesting shift given I’ve felt rather lonely in never believing any of these movies were entirely necessary. As much as I believe they will be good that doesn’t entirely mean they were needed. That said, they’re coming, and the first of them arrives on December 14 and a new “alternate” trailer has arrived to promote the coming of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

While I’ve seen the first trailer for this film, I don’t entirely remember it so I can’t tell you exactly what’s different about this one. However, there is one change I noticed, which I always thought was a strange addition to the last trailer… the part where it said “Next December”.

Considering the first trailer for the film arrived The Hobbit: There and Back Again arrives December 13, 2013, but I’m pretty sure they were always referencing An Unexpected Journey.

Well, with this trailer it has been fixed and now reads “This December”, just in case some of you were confused. Other than that, I have no idea what’s changed and I don’t plan on watching it, but be my guest and give it a go. If you see any notable differences let us know about it in the comments below.
