I know, I know, I know… You thought an entire year was going to go by without a film where Kevin James falls down to make you laugh. Well I’m here to let you know that’s not the case so you can rest easy as James will fall and fall again in his new film Here Comes the Boom hitting theaters on October 12 and a trailer has just debuted to let you know just how funny it will be.
Here James stars as a high school biology teacher who moonlights as a mixed-martial arts fighter in an effort to raise money to save the school’s music program. So, essentially it’s the “comedy” version of Warrior and in that case I can only assume everyone will be clamoring for James to get an Oscar nomination and it will actually end up going to Henry Winkler. Sorry Kev, sometimes life just isn’t fair.
Along with Winkler and James, Salma Hayek plays the very believable role of the film’s love interest. Check out the trailer below and circle October 12 on your calendar.
