The Lizard Throws Out Green Mist in Australian ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Trailer

I haven’t been watching the trailers for The Amazing Spider-Man, but I do skim each of them looking for screen captures and what not, and to my recollection the above capture is the best look at the Lizard we’ve seen yet. It’s not blurry and you can actually make out some of his features. On top of that, he’s tossing around what is surely some sort of doomsday mist that turns everyone into little reptiles or something or other.

Below is the newly released Australian trailer, which features the above scene and, from what people are saying, some additional new footage from the film that has yet to be seen. I do have one question, though, how many of you are really all that excited about a new Spider-Man movie? This all looks fine and dandy and I like the cast director Marc Webb has assembled, but for some reason I can’t muster up much interest… you?

Watch the trailer below and let me know what you think in the comments. The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters in 3-D and IMAX on July 3.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance — leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
