Over the weekend the Weinstein Co. released their version of the teaser trailer for The Iron Lady, but it wasn’t anything new, just different fonts and a clearer picture than the international version we saw a long time ago. However, this morning we get the first full international trailer, which offer more than just Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher, the first and only female Prime Minister of The United Kingdom.
The Iron Lady is directed by Phillida Lloyd (Mamma Mia!) and is described as an intimate portrait of Thatcher, one of the 20th century’s most famous and influential women, as she came from nowhere to smash through barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male dominated world.
Along with Streep the film brings together a talented cast including Jim Broadbent, Anthony Head, Richard E. Grant, Roger Allam and Olivia Colman. Give the new international trailer a watch below and look for The Iron Lady on December 30 as it begins its slow roll out.
