On the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Disney would be re-releasing several of their classic animated features in theaters in 3D it’s no surprise today the news continues with a teaser trailer for a Blu-ray release of one of said films, Finding Nemo.
Nemo is set to hit theaters in 3D on September 14, 2012, which tells me we should probably expect an October 2, 2012 Blu-ray release should they decide to follow the release pattern of The Lion King. It may seem like a long way off, but Disney did the exact same thing last year with early trailers for Bambi and The Lion King on Blu-ray.

Nemo, an adventurous young clownfish, is unexpectedly taken to a dentist’s office aquarium. It’s up to Marlin (Albert Brooks), his worrisome father, and Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), a friendly but forgetful Regal Blue Tang, to make the epic journey to bring Nemo home. Their adventure brings them face-to-face with vegetarian sharks, surfer dude turtles, hypnotic jellyfish, hungry seagulls, and more. Marlin discovers a bravery he never knew, but will he be able to find his son?
