Thanks to a heads up from The Playlist we have a second trailer for Ami Canaan Mann‘s Texas Killing Fields, which centers on a Texas homicide detective (Sam Worthington) fighting two sets of fierce killers to save the life of a street kid named Little Anne (Chloe Moretz). Along with Worthington and Moretz, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Stephen Graham, Jessica Chastain and Jason Clarke co-star.
The film is playing in competition at the Venice Film Festival, which may have more to do with the fact it’s directed by Michael Mann‘s daughter than anything else, but I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t the #1 reason I’m interesting in seeing it. Anchor Bay Films has set a limited October 7 release date, but even the official site the trailer mentions is not yet live, so it seems they may be a little behind in getting themselves squared away on this one.
