Watch a Second International Trailer for ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’

A second international trailer (via MSN) for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy has debuted online giving you a second look at my most anticipated film from the second half of 2011.

Directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In) and starring Gary Oldman in the lead role, the film is based on the John le Carre’s Cold War spy novel of the same name. Set in the 1970s, George Smiley (Oldman), a recently retired MI6 agent, is doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service. However, when a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the heart of MI6, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage. Along with Oldman, the film packs a wallop of a supporting cast that includes Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Stephen Graham, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Dencik and Ciaran Hinds.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and word is it won’t be heading to Toronto after that in advance of its domestic release on November 18. Oh well, I guess I can wait. Will this be the film to earn Gary Oldman his first (yes, first) Oscar nomination?
