If the Sidebar section of the site was meant for anything, this is it as Superherohype is reporting the first teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises is set to premiere in front of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 next week as was previously rumored. The trailer is said to be one minute and 33 seconds long and will play in both 2D theaters and IMAX 3D screens. A teaser poster is also expected soon and I would expect something minimal along the lines as the teaser poster for The Dark Knight which I’m sure you remember… if not, here’s a link to click.
There is no word on when the trailer will be available online.
Additionally, trailers for other Warner Bros. releases including Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and a second trailer for Happy Feet Two are also expected to play in front of Potter.
The Dark Knight Rises is the third Batman film in director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and will hit theaters on July 20, 2012. The cast includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Marion Cotillard and Liam Neeson.
