The first trailer for Killer Elite is here and I’ve already seen it compared to Kick-Ass and every Jason Statham film ever made. I haven’t watched it so maybe you can tell me if those descriptions are accurate or if people are just searching for comparisons.
The film stars Statham alongside Robert De Niro and Clive Owen and is inspired by true events and centers on a special-ops agent (Statham) who gets together his old team to rescue his former mentor (De Niro), but he’ll have to face off against a covert group of ex-SAS soldiers known as “The Feather Men,” under their leader Spike (Owen).
Directed by Gary McKendry the film hits theaters on September 23. Check out the trailer directly below.
