The first trailer for Paramount and Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Tintin — a film that seems to have dropped its “Secret of the Unicorn” subtitle — arrived earlier today giving you your first look at the CG-motion capture feature directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Daniel Craig, Toby Jones, Mackenzie Crook, Gad Elmaleh, Cary Elwes, Tony Curran and Daniel Mays.
The film arrives on December 23 and follows the escapades of Tintin, a junior reporter who has a nose for a good story and a talent for attracting trouble, which more often than not imperils his life.
Have a look at the trailer and let me know what you think in the comments below. I didn’t watch it, but I have to wonder, will this mark the end of this animated motion capture craze that already took a massive blow earlier this year with Mars Needs Moms or is this the film to tilt the favor back into mo-cap’s favor?
