Until now Natalie Portman’s role in Thor hasn’t been front and center. In fact, the story itself has pretty much been an afterthought… until now.
Paramount has just debuted a new theatrical trailer for Thor and not only does it give us some idea of story, it does a better job of introducing its main character, his purpose on Earth and his relationship with Natalie Portman’s character, Jane Foster. It also shows Kat Dennings looks to be the comic relief. The only part of it I don’t particularly like is the stuff on Thor’s home planet, but hopefully that will remain a nitpick rather than something that bothers me throughout the feature.
Thor is the first of Marvel’s Avengers team to hit theaters this year on May 6, followed by Captain America: The First Avenger on July 22. Will Captain give us more than that initial Super Bowl teaser did? One can only hope.
