What Was Your Favorite Super Bowl Trailer?

Before you begin reading this or prepare to vote, if you haven’t watched the trailers from Super Bowl XLV yet, I have them all right here. Give ’em a watch and come back and let me know what you think.

I just posted my thoughts on the Captain America: The First Avenger trailer here and the Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer here, but there were obviously plenty others to talk about.

The consensus seems to be the Captain America and Transformers 3 trailers along with the trailer for J.J. Abrams’s Super 8 were the most well received around the internet. I was meh on Captain and couldn’t decipher Transformers and as for Super 8, I know a lot of people seem to like it, but it looked like a well produced TV show. To be honest, those trailers for the “Terra Nova” TV show impressed me more than the Super 8 trailer, a film a lot of people seem to be making a lot of comparisons to E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind without hardly a shred of evidence in that trailer. Oh well.

If you ask me, the trailer for Battle: Los Angeles was the most impressive. It was the first time I had seen anything from the film even though Sony has been trailering the hell out of it. This was a perfect trailer in my opinion, primarily in the sound department and I am now quite excited to check it out on March 11.

I’m also now interested in checking out Limitless with Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, which gives off a mildly interesting premise that could go places if treated properly. Oh, and Fast Five is on my must see list regardless of the trailer, but it still looks like the ton of fun I expect it to be.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides already feels like a worn out franchise, but I hope they were able to breathe some new life into it considering how much I still love the first one. However, if they are still trying to make it bigger and better it will just all fall apart. That is a franchise that needed to be reined in just as much as Bay needed to be handcuffed on Transformers 3. If you ask me, it looks like both were allowed to take things too far.

Other trailers included Jon Favreau’s Cowboys and Aliens, Drive Crazy 3D, Just Go With It, Kung Fu Panda 2, Priest, Rango, Rio and Thor. What I want to know, is which one you liked best.

Vote in the poll below and, like I said, if you haven’t seen them all just click here and enjoy before coming back to make your pick.
