Just as much as Super Bowl Sunday is about football, drinking, partying, Doritos eating and all around merry making, it’s about commercials, marketing and subliminally urging the audience into buying products they otherwise may not be interested in.
One of the biggest pieces of marketing efforts made on this day come from movie studios and they are spending upwards of $3 million per 30-second spot. Will it pay-off?
I already listed a group of movies to expect trailers from today and they include Paramount’s Super 8 directed by JJ Abrams, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger. Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Universal has a spot lined up for Jon Favreau’s Cowboys and Aliens. You can check out a list of all the trailer expected today right here.
