MTV has debuted the teaser trailer for The Runaways, the recently Apparition acquired feature starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie telling the story of the ladies’ rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands.
The film is set to hit theaters on March 19, 2010 following its January premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. It also stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Alia Shawkat and Stella Maeve.
