Ant-Man stars David Dastmalchian and Michael Peña sit down with CS to chat about their Marvel Cinematic Universe characters!
With just days to go before Marvel Studios’ latest cinematic superhero hits the big screen, ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype is celebrating with a week of exclusive video interviews with the cast and crew of Ant-Man. Following our conversations with Corey Stoll (who plays the film’s villain, Darren Cross) and Peyton Reed (who directed the film), we’ve now got a fun conversation with stars David Dastmalchian and Michael Peña that you can check out in the player below!
Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd (This is 40, They Came Together), Evangeline Lilly (“LOST,” The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies) and Michael Douglas (The Game, And So It Goes) and brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
David Dastmalchian and Michael Peña play Kurt and Luis, two non-superpowered acquaintances of Lang’s who wind up becoming instrumental parts of the story’s massive heist plan. You can check out David Dastmalchian’s nerd cred as he lists “West Coast Avengers” (a team led by Hank Pym) as one of the books that got him into comics and find out the surprising source from whom Peña drew inspiration.
