Twentieth Century Fox has revealed a new promo for the upcoming Hitman: Agent 47 which is a parody of the opening titles to AMC’s “Mad Men,” the series finale of which will air this Sunday. Check it out in the player below!
Directed by first time helmer Aleksander Bach, the new film stars Rupert Friend (“Homeland,” The Young Victoria), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Margin Call), Hannah Ware (“Betrayal,” “Boss”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Dracula,” Avengers: Age of Ultron), Dan Bakkedahl (The Heat, Observe and Report) and Ciaran Hinds (Frozen, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby).
Based on the top-selling, award-winning videogame franchise, Hitman: Agent 47 is an all-new motion picture about an elite and genetically engineered assassin, known only by the last two digits 47 of a barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. His latest target is a young woman on the run from powerful and clandestine forces. The mission brings startling revelations about the lethal agent and his prey, hurtling them on a collision course with their pasts. And this time, his number may be up.
The Square Enix title (previously from Eidos Interactive) was turned into the 2007 movie Hitman with Timothy Olyphant in the lead. The Xavier Gens-directed action thriller earned just under $100 million at worldwide theaters.
Scripted by Skip Woods, Kyle Ward and Michael Finch, Hitman: Agent 47 hits theaters on August 28.
