Now Fickman is teaming up with Kevin James for Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, the sequel to James’ hit 2009 comedy that grossed over $140 million domestically. This time around, James’ Paul Blart is going to Las Vegas for a convention of security guards along with his daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) where they got caught up in the plans of an art thief (Neal McDonough).
Having spoken to Fickman a number of times before, ComingSoon.net sat down with the director earlier this week for the interview you can watch in the video player below. Towards the end, Fickman also mentioned that the upcoming Scouts vs. Zombies (which he’s producing) may be getting a title change and that they’re still working on development for the RKO thrillers like I Walked with a Zombie.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 opens nationwide on Friday, April 17 with previews on Thursday night.
