Max has released The Parenting trailer for its newest horror comedy, featuring Emmy Award winners Lisa Kudrow (Friends) and Brian Cox (Succession). The movie will officially be available for streaming starting on Thursday, March 13.
Besides Kudrow and Cox, the ensemble cast will also be led by Nik Dodani (Atypical) as Rohan, Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why) as Josh, Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie) as Sharon, Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) as Cliff, Parker Posey (Dazed and Confused) as Brenda, and Vivian Bang (Always Be My Maybe) as Sara. Additional cast members include Chloe Sciore, Keith R. Beck, John Hawe, Kate Avallone, Heidi Garza, Carolyn Holland, Nick Silva, and more.

What happens in The Parenting trailer?
The video introduces Dodani’s Rohan and Flynn’s Josh, a young couple who organized a weekend getaway, where their parents can finally meet each other. However, their situation gets even more chaotic, after they suddenly get terrorized by an unknown entity haunting the house they’ve rented.
The Parenting is directed by Craig Johnson from a screenplay written by Kent Sublette. It is produced by Chris Bender and Jake Weiner. Executive producers are Richard Brener, Chris Pan, David Neustadter, and Jared Ian Goldman. The creative team also includes cinematographer Hillary Fyfe Spera and editor Josh Crockett, with composer Nathan Larson providing the music.
“The film follows young couple Rohan and Josh as they plan a perfect weekend getaway in the country to introduce their parents,” reads the synopsis. “As tensions begin to flare between the more traditional Sharon and Frank and the laid-back Liddy and Cliff, the families soon realize that their rental – managed by eccentric local Brenda – is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist. When one parent becomes thoroughly possessed, it’s up to the young couple and their meddlesome BFF Sara to unite the families and stop the evil entity once and for all.”
