The first trailer for Clown in a Cornfield has been released.
Clown in a Cornfield is a new horror movie that is directed and co-written by Eli Craig. Releasing this coming May, the film is based on the 2020 popular young adult slasher novel of the same name that was written by Adam Cesare.

What is Clown in a Cornfield about?
“Clown in a Cornfield follows Quinn and her father, who have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs hoping for a fresh start,” the synopsis reads. “Instead, she discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times after the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down. As the locals bicker amongst themselves and tensions boil over, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs. The real fun starts when Frendo the clown comes out to play.”
The cast of the movie includes Katie Douglas (Ginny & Georgia), Aaron Abrams (Hannibal), Carson MacCormac (Shazam!), Will Sasso (Young Sheldon), and Kevin Durand (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes).
Craig co-wrote the script with Carter Blanchard. Prior to Clown in a Cornfield, Craig directed 2010’s Tucker & Dale vs Evil and 2017’s Little Evil.
Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, John Fischer, Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis, and Terry Dougas serve as producers on the movie, while Jean-Luc De Fanti, Max Work, Kostas Tsoukalas, Petersen Harris, George Berman, Dave Bishop, George Hamilton, Daniel Bekerman, Myron John Tataryn, and Carter Blanchard serve as executive producers.
Clown in a Cornfield will be released in United States theaters on May 9, 2025, from RLJE Films and Shudder. It will first hold its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 10, 2025.
