Sony Pictures Classics has released the official On Swift Horses trailer for its newest period romance drama, which will be led by Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People) and Jacob Elordi (Euphoria). Following its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, the movie will now arrive in theaters on April 25, 2025.

What happens in the On Swift Horses trailer?
The video features Edgar-Jones as Muriel and Elordi as Julius, as they both embark on secret relationships. Joining Edgar-Jones and Elordi are Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) as Lee, Diego Calva (Babylon) as Henry, Sasha Calle (The Flash) as Sandra, and Don Swayze as Terence.
“On Swift Horses follows Muriel and her husband Lee as they are beginning a bright new life in California upon Lee’s return from the Korean War. But their newfound stability is upended by the arrival of Lee’s charismatic brother, Julius, a wayward gambler with a secret past,” reads the synopsis. “A dangerous love triangle quickly forms. When Julius takes off in search of the young card cheat, he’s fallen for, Muriel’s longing for something more propels her into a secret life of her own, gambling on racehorses and exploring a love she never dreamed possible.”
Based on Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 novel of the same name, It is directed by Daniel Minahan (Fellow Travelers) from a screenplay written by Bryce Kass. The film is produced by Peter Spears, Mollye Asher, Tim Headington, and Theresa Steele Page for Ley Line, with FirstGen Conent’s Michael D’Alto also producing. Executive producers are Kass, Alvaro Valente, Christine Vachon, Pamela Koffler, Nate Kamiya, David Darby, Randal Sandler, Claude Amadeo, Chris Triana, Jennifer Westphal, and Joe Plummer.
