Universal Pictures has released the full How to Train Your Dragon trailer for the highly-anticipated live-action remake of the award-winning DreamWorks animated franchise. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 13, 2025.

What happens in the How to Train Your Dragon trailer?
The video shows fans a closer look at Toothless and Mason Thames‘ Hiccup, teasing the beloved duo’s bond and action-packed moments. It also features more of its live-action cast, including Nico Parker as Astrid, Gerard Butler as Stoick the Vast, Nick Frost as Gobber the Belch, Julian Dennison as Fishlegs, Gabriel Howell as Snotlout, Browyn James as Ruffnut, and Harry Trevaldwyn as Tuffnut. Additional cast members include Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz, and Murray McArthur.
The live-action How to Train Your Dragon movie is written, directed, and produced by Oscar nominee Dean DeBlois, Based on Cressida Cowell’s children’s book series of the same name. It is also produced by Marc Platt (Wicked, La La Land) and Adam Siegel (Drive, 2 Guns), with David Cain and Michael A. Connolly executive producing. The creative team also includes cinematographer Bill Pope and editor Wyatt Smith.
