The first trailer for Friendship has been released.
Friendship is a new A24 comedy movie written and directed by Andrew DeYoung. It stars Tim Robinson, Paul Rudd, and more.

What is the Friendship movie with Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd about?
“Tim Robinson is Craig Waterman, a suburban dad whose life takes an unexpected turn when he befriends his enigmatic new neighbor, Austin Carmichael, played by Paul Rudd,” the synopsis reads.
Along with Rudd and Robinson, the cast of the movie also includes Kate Mara, Jack Dylan Grazer, Josh Segarra, and Billy Bryk. Friendship had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024. The film currently has an 87 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes with 23 reviews.
Robinson is known for co-creating his Netflix comedy sketch series, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, alongside Zach Kanin. He also co-created the comedy series Detroiters, which he stars in alongside Sam Richardson. Robinson voiced Ugly Sonic in 2022’s Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers and has an uncredited cameo in 2023’s Scream VI. He’s also working on a new series, titled The Chair Company, which was formally picked up by HBO in September 2024. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
Rudd, meanwhile, plays Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has starred in comedies such as 1995’s Clueless, 2001’s Wet Hot American Summer, 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, 2004’s The 40-Year-Old Virgin, 2007’s Knocked Up, 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 2009’s I Love You, Man, 2011’s Our Idiot Brother, and more. Along with Friendship, he’s starring in another A24 movie, Death of a Unicorn, which is written and directed by Alex Scharfman. That film will hit United States theaters on March 28, 2025.
