When is the release date for The Haunting of Hollywood?
The Haunting of Hollywood will premiere exclusively on Mometu on February 7, 2025. It will then receive a TVOD release on May 6, 2025.
“Set against iconic Hollywood landmarks like the Hollywood sign and Chinese Theater, the story follows James (Mann), a young filmmaker grappling with his mother’s tragic past, and Skyler (Infante), his aspiring actress girlfriend,” a description of the movie, which is inspired by the real-life story of Peg Entwistle, reads. “Together with their friend Casey (Friebe), a musician, the trio are drawn into a haunting tale of family secrets and ghostly memories, blurring the line between reality and illusion in their perilous pursuit of stardom.”
Doytchinova said about the movie, “This story reflects my own experiences and those of many artists, including my incredible cast and crew—and, of course, Peg. I had the privilege of working with remarkable actors like Tiffany Downey and William Mann, who helped shape the troubled characters of Olivia and James, whose toxic relationship serves as the core of the story. I wanted to create a love letter to Los Angeles while acknowledging its darkest truths. I hope audiences will reflect on the strength it takes to confront the past and the complexities of ambition in a city bound by illusions and their impact on mental health.”
Entertainment Squad CEO Shaked Berenson stated, “Hollywood has always been synonymous with dreams, but this story reveals the shadows beneath the spotlight. Amid the ongoing devastation of fires in Los Angeles, this film feels more timely than ever, offering an unflinching look at mental health, relationships, and ambition in a city where the line between dreams and nightmares blurs. With a brilliant cast and crew, we’re proud to share this story during such a challenging moment for our community.”
Mometu’s Bryan Louzil added, “This isn’t just a ghost story—it’s a moving narrative about mental health and perseverance. The Haunting of Hollywood speaks directly to the challenges many face in pursuit of their dreams, making it a perfect addition to Mometu’s lineup of compelling, thought-provoking content.”
