What is the Creep Box movie about?
“A technician for a shadowy tech firm whose devices allow for communication with the dead investigates both a murder case and a suicide looking for answers,” the synopsis for the film reads. “As his mind begins to slip, he slowly starts to descend into obsession.”
Along with Cantor, the movie stars Sean Mahon, Ian Lithgow, Kati Kuang, and Dan Cordle. Noah Lang, Blake Hoss, Bobby Campbell, and Derek Rubin all serve as producers.
Creep Box has previously been screened at film festivals such as the Trieste Science + Fiction Festival (where it was nominated for the Asteroid Award), the Philip K Dick Film Festival (where it won Best Feature), the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival, the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival Shockfest (where it was nominated for Best Screenplay), the Peekskill Film Festival, and the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival.
“We’re living in a time where we have all this technology that supposedly keeps us connected, but it’s becoming clear that we’re more isolated from each other than we’d like to admit,” Biesemans, who previously directed 2016’s The Last Treasure Hunt, said regarding the themes of the movie. “That sense of isolation is certainly a standout theme in Creep Box. As well as processing grief and the many ways someone can navigate it”
Creep Box will be released on VOD and Digital on January 24, 2025, courtesy of Quiver Distribution.
