Cannes Winner Émilie Dequenne Gets Stranded in Exclusive Survive Clip

ComingSoon is excited to debut the exclusive Survive clip from Samuel Goldwyn Films’ upcoming survival disaster film featuring Cannes Award winner Émilie Dequenne (Rosetta). Following its premiere at FrightFest, the film will now make its debut on January 10 in select theaters and on digital platforms.

What happens in the Survive clip?

The clip shows a stranded family as they try to figure out their situation after suddenly waking up in the middle of a desert land. Besides Dequenne, the film will also be led by Andreas Pietschmann as Tom, Lisa Delamar as Cassie, Lucas Ebel as Ben, Olivier Ho Hio Hen as Nao, and Arben Bajraktaraj as L’homme au harpon.

Survive is directed by Frédéric Jardin from a screenplay written by Matt Alexander. The edge-of-your-seat survival thriller film is produced by Marc Stanimirovic, Cédric Iland, Bastien Sirodot, and Marc-Etienne Schwartz, with Ludovic Naar and Frantz Richard serving as executive producers. The creative team also includes cinematographer Pierre Aim, along with editors Reynald Bertrand and Camille Toubkis.

“In the film, Julia and her loving husband celebrate their son’s birthday on their boat in the middle of the ocean,” reads the official synopsis. “When a violent storm nearly capsizes them, the family awakes in a desert land. Earth has undergone a tragic polarity reversal, draining water from the oceans. The family must race to safety before the water returns all while battling hungry creatures from the abyss that hunt for fresh flesh.”
