RLJE Films has released the official Bloody Axe Wound trailer for its newest coming-of-age comedy slasher starring Sari Arambulo and Billy Burke. The film is scheduled to arrive in select theaters on December 27.

What happens in the Bloody Axe Wound trailer?
The video introduces a teenage girl living an unconventional life as the daughter of a serial killer who helps her father videotape his murders in order to sell them. The cast includes Sari Arambulo (A.P. Bio), Molly Brown (Lost Girls), Eddie Leavy (Bella and the Bulldongs), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), and Billy Burke (The Twilight Saga).
Bloody Axe Wound is directed and written by Matthew John Lawrence. The film is produced by Hilarie Burton Morgan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan for Mischief Farm, Cassandra Del Viscio and Mary Stuart Masterson for Off Label HV, Liz DeCesare, Jordan Manekin, Eric Knapp, Mackenzie Luzzi, and Sarah Fairchild. It hails from RLJE Films and Shudder, with Meg Mortimer serving as an executive producer.
“Abbie Bladecut is a teenager torn between the macabre traditions of her family’s bloody trade and the tender stirrings of her first crush,” reads the synopsis. “In the small town of Clover Falls, Abbie’s father, Roger Bladecut, has built an infamous legacy by capturing real-life killings on tape and selling them to eager customers, but as Abbie delves deeper into the grisly family business, she begins to wonder if it’s time to take the family tradition in a new direction.”
