Disney has shared a brand new Moana 2 clip from the upcoming animated sequel, teasing one of its major musical numbers. The film will arrive in theaters on November 27, 2024.

What happens in the new Moana 2 clip?
The video provides fans with a brief preview of Auliʻi Cravalho‘s Moana singing the main theme song for the sequel titled, “Beyond” which was written by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear. The voice cast also includes Dwayne Johnson as Maui, Temuera Morrison as Tui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Rose Matafeo as Loto, David Fane as Kele, Rachel House as Tala, Alan Tudyk as Heihei, Awhimai Fraser as Matangi, and more.
“The film reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
Moana 2 is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller from a screenplay co-written by Miller and Jared Bush. It is executive produced by Bush, Johnson, and Jennifer Lee. The original was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. It was not only a commercial success with a gross of over $600 million, but it also earned positive reviews from critics and earned two Oscar nominations including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
