A new The Last Showgirl trailer is out today, previewing the upcoming drama starring Pamela Anderson as a Las Vegas showgirl who must adjust to a new life after the closing of her venue.
What happens in The Last Showgirl trailer?
The trailer highlights the story of Shelly (Anderson), a showgirl at a show that abruptly closes after a 30-year run. As she deals with the fallout, she’ll also learn a lot about her own life — as well as the impact showgirls have left on Las Vegas.

Following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last September 6, The Last Showgirl is now scheduled to arrive in select theaters in Los Angeles on December 13. It will then be followed by a wide release on January 10, 2025. During its recent screening at the 2024 San Sebastián International Film Festival, the film successfully won the Special Jury Prize.
The film is directed by Gia Coppola from a screenplay written by Kate Gersten. In addition to Anderson, the cast also includes Jamie Lee Curtis as Annette, Dave Bautista as Eddie, Brenda Song as Marianne, Kiernan Shipka as Jodie, Billie Lourd as Hannah, and Jason Schwartzman as a director. It is produced by Robert Schwartzman and Natalie Farrey, with Miley Cyrus providing the film with a new original song titled “Beautiful That Way,” which she sang and wrote.
“The film follows a glamorous Las Vegas showgirl, Shelley, who faces the dark prospects of her show closing after several years. She must reconcile with the decisions she’s made and the community she has built as she plans her next act,” reads the synopsis.
