“Nutcrackers follows the work-obsessed Mike (Stiller), who must reluctantly travel to rural Ohio to look after his four rambunctious nephews after their parents die in a car accident,” the synopsis reads. “What begins as a three-day trip to find foster care turns into weeks of farm-life mayhem – and the realization that he doesn’t need to find them a home, they’ve found one for him.”
Leland Douglas wrote the screenplay for Nutcrackers. Rob Paris and Mike Witherill serve as producers with Rough House Pictures’ Nate Meyer.
Nutcrackers is directed by David Gordon Green, best known now for his work directing the trilogy of Halloween remakes for Blumhouse Productions. Green also directed 2023’s The Exorcist Believer, which was intended to usher in a new trilogy of Exorcist films, but is instead being rebooted by Mike Flanagan.
