What happens in The Silent Hour clip?
The Silent Hour clip shows off a conversation between Kinnaman’s Detective Frank Shaw, who is suffering from hearing loss following injuries sustained on the job, and Ava (Sandra Mae Frank). The film will follow Shaw as he is tasked with protecting Ava, deaf witness to a gang-related crime.
The Silent Hour is scheduled to make its debut in theaters and on digital starting on October 11, 2024. The film is directed by Brad Anderson from a screenplay written by Dan Hall. Joining Kinnaman and Frank (New Amsterdam) are Mekhi Phifer (Lights Out) and Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service), among others.

“Boston Detective Frank Shaw returns to duty after a career-altering injury leaves him with permanent hearing loss,” reads the official film synopsis. “Tasked with interpreting for Ava Fremont, a deaf witness to a brutal gang murder, they find themselves cornered in a soon-to-be-condemned apartment building when the killers return to eliminate her. Cut off from the outside world, these two strangers must lean on each other to outsmart killers they can’t hear coming for their only hope of making it out alive.”
This marks Kinnaman’s latest action thriller after starring in last year’s Sympathy for the Devil with Nicolas Cage and John Woo’s Silent Night. The Suicide Squad star will next be seen in the thriller film Ice Fall with Killers of the Flower Moon’s Cara Jade Myers.
