A new Moana 2 TV spot and poster are out, the former of which is previewing an upcoming song from the highly anticipated Disney sequel.
What’s the new Moana 2 song?
The new song to the sequel, titled “We’re Back,” seems to be all about Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) returning home from a trip. The song can briefly be heard over a new TV spot, which also includes some new footage from the film, as well as brief clips of Dwayne Johnson‘s return as Maui.

Moana 2 is set to be directed by David G. Derrick Jr. More casting information is unknown at this time. The sequel is set to release in theaters on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

“Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
The original film was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. It was not only a commercial success with a gross of over $600 million, but it also earned positive reviews from critics and earned two Oscar nominations, including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
