The first trailer for Saturday Night has been released.
Saturday Night is an upcoming film directed by Jason Reitman that is about SNL‘s chaotic opening night in 1975. The film’s script was co-written by Reitman and Gil Kenan.

The cast includes Gabriel LaBelle as Lorne Michaels, Cooper Hoffman as Dick Ebersol, Rachel Sennott as Rosie Shuster, Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykroyd, Lamorne Morris as Garrett Morris, Cory Michael Smith as Chevy Chase, Ella Hunt as Gilda Radner, Emily Fairn as Laraine Newman, Kim Matula as Jane Curtin, Matt Wood as John Belushi, Nicholas Braun as Jim Henson, Matthew Rhys as George Carlin, J.K. Simmons as Milton Berle, Willem Dafoe as David Tebet, Tommy Dewey as Michael O’Donoghue, Finn Wolfhard as an NBC page, and more.
The film is produced by Reitman, Kenan, Jason Blumenfeld, and Peter Rice. Erica Mills and JoAnn Perritano serve as executive producers.
Reitman is known for directing 2005’s Thank You for Smoking, 2007’s Juno, 2009’s Up in the Air, 2011’s Young Adult, 2018’s Tully, and 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, among other films.
Saturday Night will be released in United States theaters on October 11, 2024, from Sony Pictures Entertainment.
